For a similar decoration cf. the dish in the collection of Sherborne Castle, Dorset, illustrated in Kakiemon Porcelain from the English Country House cat.p.53, pl.29., where the author notes that 'This design is at the peak of its development. It was to be a design copied often by European factories including Meissen, and it is of interest to note that at Sherborne, when the Japanese originals became damaged, Meissen replacements were ordered'
