Alexander II, Tsar of Russia (1855-1881). The first document signed ("Aleksandr") to the University of Saint Petersburg, St. Petersburg, 8 February 1869, in Russian, sending congratulations of its 50th anniversary, and commenting on its academic achievements, 3 1/2 pages folio in a porte folio; and another printed document to the University from the Nicholas Engineers College, signed by Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich and others, on its half-century, large oblong folio in container (2)
