We like to thank Drs. G. de Werd, director of the Museum Haus Koekkoek in Kleve, who, on basis of the photograph, in a letter of 15.7.1993, dates the picture around 1828, the very period that B.C. Koekkoek worked in Beek near Nijmegen.
