AN INKSTAND IN THE SHAPE OF A WOMAN AND CHILD AT A WELL

On oval brown mottled-marble base, the whole formed as a woman at a well with a young boy seated on a tree trunk beside holding a basket, the inkwell naturalistically engraved to simulate wood grain, the ground decorated to simulate the earth, the well engraved with the roman numerals XXV with 1883 and 1908 on either side, the base applied with silver plaque engraved with presentation inscription - 22.5cm long
