The mother-of-pearl sticks and guard sticks finely-pierced and carved and applied with silver and gold elegant figures, baskets of flowers, birds, columns and C-scrolls, the leaf painted in watercolours and gilt with a herdsman with cattle and sheep and a milkmaid within a romantic landscape enhanced with delicate floral swags, a vignette of a cherub and a vignette of a butterfly to either side, the reverse of the leaf painted with a classical vase and floral swags, in plush and satin-lined leather case
