TWO ENAMELLED SNUFF-BOXES WITH GILT-METAL MOUNTS

The circular example painted with both polychrome and puce landscape vignettes and gilt with diaperwork, the interior of the hinged cover painted with an elegant family group around a garden urn, the bottom with a spray of flowers, the oblong example painted and moulded to represent an envelope with red seal addressed to "Mademoiselle Chrétienne Gouvernante....", the inside painted: "Votre Dedain Me fait de Chagrin" - 7.50 and 9.50cm wide (2)
