A MEISSEN LOBED QUATREFOIL SHALLOW BOWL FROM THE CHRISTIE-MILLER SERVICE, the exterior with figures at discussion resting and promenading in an extensive wooded harbour landscape among boats, casks, bales and buildings, a church and a fortified town in the distance above a broad gilt diaper band reserved with four puce camaieu quatrefoil panels of harbour and landscape scenes, the interior with a loose bouquet and scattered flowers within a broad border of richly gilt scrolls, shells and strapwork reserved with four quatrefoil panels of figures in wooded landscapes (restored crack down one pleat, minute flaking to enamel of bouquet and slight chip to one point of rim), blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummer 21, circa 1745
