A HÖCHST GILTMETAL-MOUNTED BLUE-GROUND RECTANGULAR TOBACCO-BOX, COVER AND WEIGHT painted in sepia with putti at various pursuits including garlanding a sheep with flowers, inscribing a shield and playing beneath trees within oval cartouches, the blue ground reserved with an overall gilt diaper-pattern of flowerheads, diamonds and ovals, the interior to the cover with four putti with a garland of flowers before a dove and an urn on an altar in a wooded landscape vignette, the rectangular weight gilt with flower-sprays and with gilt-metal finial (the base damaged and restored), circa 1785
