The circular enamelled dial with both Roman and Arabic numerals, set within a beaded drum supported by sphinxes and surmounted by trailing vines, the stepped cut-cornered rectangular plinth with inset laurel panels, supported on a Doric entablature, the fluted entasised columns framing Leda and the Swan seated on a stepped plinth, flanked by fluted and gadrooned campana-shaped urns, the beaded stepped breakfront plinth with central crossed-palm panel, flanked by profile medallions of Emperors and guilloche, on a foliate moulded spreading plinth and turned feet
