A fine miniature of a young lady wearing a low-cut white muslin dress tied with a blue silk ribbon, a yellow shawl with red-striped border draped around her shoulders, her curly fair hair adorned with a pale pink scarf fixed under her chin -- 90 mm diam., fine gilt-metal frame enamelled with white dots

A very similar miniature, representing the second wife of the artist, Marie-Victoire Jaquotot, was formerly in the David-Weill Collection (illustrated in Carlo Jeannerat and Henri Clouzot, Miniatures and Enamels from the D. David-Weill Collection, Paris, 1957, nr 132).
