(Title lacking; plate CXCII with 130mm. tear from ipper margin into image area; plate XXXIX with section of lower balnk margin torn away; 3 other plates with small tears to blank margins; some soling or browning.) Old panelled calf (worn).
First edition with French text of Chippendale's Gentleman and Cabinet-maker's Director. The first edition had appeared in 1754, a second in 1755. This first translation is from the third edition of 1762.
