Provenance
This model of Hawkie was purchased by the present owner from Muirhead Moffat & Co., Blythswood Street. They had in turn purchased it in 1960 from Miss Jean Miller, daughter of William Miller, who reputedly made the figure himself at the Caledonian Pottery, Rutherglen, in 1885.
