Inlaid overall with scrolling foliage, flower-heads and fruitwood lines, the rectangular top above a hinged slope with a gilt-tooled green leather-lined writing-surface to the reverse, enclosing a fitted mahogany-lined interior with a central door, enclosing a plain interior with a shelf and a drawer, four pigeon-holes, eight drawers (one lacking) and a well, above a base drawer and a shaped apron, on cabriole legs, minor losses and restorations to the veneers
