A SPANISH RENAISSANCE WALNUT AND CHESTNUT BOOKCASE
Late 17th/18th Century and with some later replacements
Of everted breakfront form, the upper section with overhanging molded cornice above a pair of open doors flanked by stop-fluted Ionian engaged pilasters, the lower section with a frieze drawer above a further pair of open doors also flanked by engaged pilasters, the later step-molded base on bracket feet, the lower section rebacked, with two replaced capitals and with a later finished top
