A LOUIS XIV ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD PARQUETRY COMMODE
Circa 1710, stamped twice G. Schwingkens, remounted
The later red marble top over a conforming case with two short and two long drawers, set with rocaille escutcheons and lockplates in the form of busts, over a shaped apron, with a chalk inscription no.43613 and a tag KFC 10/88/Mt.Carroll Il., originally with a drawer to the centre of the frieze, the mounts bearing the C Couronne Poinçon
