Furby, Maker, Ripon, enclosed by a rectangular glass panel, the visible mercury-filled tube flanked by ropetwist carved borders headed by flowerheads, the scale flanked by fluted uprights and surmounted by a foliate-carved pediment, the cistern cover formed as a neo-classical urn carved with flowerheads, the waisted base carved with C-scrolls, the reverse bearing paper label inscribed Cavendish House Limited, Cheltenham, Pantechnicon & Safe Deposit Store, lacking cresting, 45½in.
