A South German walnut, fruitwood and marquetry bureau cabinet, the bowed top fitted with two drawers, above a panelled cupboard door inlaid with panel of musicians and surrounded by nine serpentine drawers, inlaid with animals and various townscapes, above a fall-flap inlaid with a figure on horseback, surrounded by panels of scrolling foliage, and enclosing an interior fitted with a red morocco- lined writing surface and eight short drawers and flanked on either side by two short drawers, the concave waved base with three further long drawers, engraved with panels of game and hunting scenes, the sides inlaid with geometric medallions, on bun feet, 19th Century, 46in.
