PARIS No. 238, seconds chapter (at III), vector up-and-down dial (at VI), hour chapter with Roman numerals (at IX), outer minute chapter with Arabic five minute intermarkers, blued steel hands, full-plate movement (67mm. diam.) inscribed VISSIERE, No. 238, reversed fusee, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance, circular heat compensation weight with top screws, polished helical balance spring, flat strip steel spring detent with jewelled locking stone positioned on banking block via two steady pins and securing screw, brass bowl numbered 238, gimballing with spring U-form trunnion mountings (at III and IX), three-tier plain mahogany box, the centre section with rectangular bone ivory plaque inscribed 238 VISSIERE 56 Rue de l'Ouest, PARIS, external brass drop handles
