the white enamel Roman dial with blued moon hands and moulded gilt-brass bezel, the massive movement of three-plate construction with eight pillars with milled decoration, the rear section carrying a massive gut barrel with indirect bevel wind from the side and with 12x10in. massive oval gilt-brass-cased weight, the forward section carrying the wheel train with end-capped pivots and large pin wheel escapement with steel-rod pendulum and twin mercury jar, the movement secured to a massive brass bracket now with perspex wall mounting
