An Irish provincial sauce boat of plain oval form on three lion's mask and paw feet, with shaped everted rim and leaf-capped scroll handle, engraved with a crest and later coat-of-arms, by Jonathan Buck, Limerick, circa 1740, 8in. (20.3cm) wide, (12oz).

The crest and arms are those of Westropp, the crest is probably for Randall Westropp who was Mayor of Cork, 1743 and died 1777.
