A pair of gilt-bronze candlesticks of Regence style, each with acanthus cast candle holder and detachable nozzle above circular drip-tray cast with scrolling foliage, one stem formed as a male Bacchanalian seated figure being attacked by a panther, the other formed as a female Bacchanalian figure with a dog at her feet (broken), each on shaped triangular base cast with acanthus scrolls, flowerheads and fruiting foliage divided by lattice panels, drilled for electricity. 19th Century, 11½ins (29cms) high (2)
