A BELGIAN EBONISED BRACKET TIMEPIECE WITH ALARM AND PULL QUARTER REPEAT

the case with brass urn finials and handle to the altered top, pierced cast sound frets to the glazed sides and on gilt-brass bun feet, the dial signed D. Basselier A Bruxelles on the silvered chapter ring with blued steel hands, the centre finely engraved with formal foliate strapwork on a matted ground, central silvered alarm disc, winged cherub spandrels, mock pendulum and calendar aperture in the arch, the four pillar single fusee (wire lines) movement with verge escapement, pull quarter repeat via two hammers and alarm on bell above with corresponding spring barrels anchored to the foliate engraved backplate with similar signature within a foliate engraved cartouche
