signed on the dial S Smith & Son 9 Strand, London, No. 146-74, Watchmakers to the Admiralty, 1907

the gilt movement jewelled to the centre with bimetallic balance and lever escapement, split second chronograph mechanism planted on the top plate, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for running seconds and elapsed minutes, two sweep centre seconds hands operated by a button in the band and in the crown, the plain case with hinged cuvette and engraved monogram to the reverse, hallmarked London 1907, with retailers original presentation box - 53mm. diam.
