Lot Essay

In the 1957-58 F.A. Cup Final, United were defeated by Bolton Wanderers 2-0. The embroidered badge depicting a Pheonix rising from the ashes was used only the once by United and is symbolic of the club's resurgence after the "Munich Disaster".
