cover 1853 (11 June) large part pink wrapper (two flaps removed) from Paris to Gand, Belgium, bearing 1852 25c. blue (margins touched to large) in lower corner, tied by gros points cancellation with despatch c.d.s. in top corner; underpaid and with Belgium 20c. Medallions (just cut into at foot, other margins good to large) just tied by circular numeral and used as a Postage Due; the rate mark has been crossed through in red ink and an underpaid h.s. applied.
