An unusual diamond briolette brooch, mounted by Cartier
Briolette diamonds circa 1700, mounting 1954
Designed as a cushion-shaped diamond scroll to the twin diamond line suspending a pair of faceted barrel-shaped diamond briolettes, with French assay mark for gold, with red leather Cartier case
2 5/16 in. (5.9 cm.) long
Mounted by Cartier Paris, accompanied by a copy of the original invoice dated 15 April 1954 for Fr 65.000
