A MUGHAL JADE HILTED DAGGER (KHANJAR)
North India, circa 1700
With slightly recurved watered steel double edged blade, the hilt of celadon jade in the form of a horse's head, the eyes, mane and bridle set with rubies, the lower half of the hilt with floral decorations set with gold and precious stones, green velvet covered sheath with matching celadon jade chape and locket similarly set with floral gold and gem set decoration, ears restored with gold tips, velvet worn, otherwise good condition
