A SPODE (FELSPAR PORCELAIN) COMPOSITE BEIGE-GROUND PART DESSERT-SERVICE
Circa 1825
The centres reserved and painted with specimen flowers within gilt waved line and foliate cartouches, the rims lightly moulded with foliage scrolls and stylised flowerheads enriched in gilding, comprising:
Three shaped oval centre-dishes (one with haircracks)
Two sauce-tureens, covers and stands (one cover repaired, the other with finial restored, one tureen with haircrack and small chip to inner rim, the other with slight chip and haircracks to inner rim)
Four shaped oval dishes, 11in. (28cm.) wide
One shaped oval dish, 10in. (25.5cm.) wide
Eleven shell-shaped dishes
Thirty-nine plates (two with star cracks)
(some rubbing to enamels and gilding), puce printed marks, pattern no. 4373; and a Copeland & Garrett plate en suite, green printed mark, circa 1845
