A FRANKFURT BLUE AND WHITE OVIFORM VASE
Circa 1700
Painted with three oval panels of chinoiserie figures at various pursuits including charging on horseback through a landscape, beneath a parasol and at discussion in extensive river landscapes before fences, trees and buildings, on a ground of caillouté decoration between zig-zag and loop ornament (repaired chip to rim, slight chips and flaze flaking to rim and footrim, some slight scratching)
