Of oval shape, the hinged lid with a foliate-cast knop, decorated to one side with a panel depicting a courting couple within a landscape and to the other with a panel of flowers, opening to reveal a foliate-decorated interior, the sides with further panels of flowers, with a pair of foliate-cast handles and on four foliate-scrolling feet, the underside with underglaze-blue interlaced L mark and FRANCE
