2 leaves (204 x 130mm). Title as above (verso blank); 2pp. sample of the text (printed recto and verso). 1 hand-coloured engraved plate of a Bullfinch. Modern red morocco, spine gilt, g.e., by Zaehnsdorf. Provenance: sale: Sotheby's 22 March 1977 lot 428 "unrecorded and perhaps unique", sold ¨260.

VERY RARE, apparently unrecorded. William Weston Young was by turn a farmer, miller, wreck-raiser, merchant, land and colliery surveyor, inventor and occasional bird painter of extraordinary energy and diverse gifts. He drew and engraved flower and bird designs for the Swansea porcelain manufactory between 1803 and 1806. He died in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, in 1847.
