A CARVED OAK FALL-FRONT DESK
ENGLISH, CIRCA 1875
The superstructure carved with foliate finial and a frieze of leaves and berries above panelled fall-front, carved with two medallions, one with a lion, the other monogrammed SGJ, opening to reveal simple fitted interior, the compartments with ogee decoration, the lower half with twin cupboards each fitted on the interior with three filing drawers, inlaid ebony key plates, decorative brass hinges and handles.
