The dimpled shouldered body with short neck, overlaid in rich midnight blue, and fully wheel carved with two flowering poppies, the ground between carved in intaglio with tiny shooting stars detailed with touches of gilding, the neck finely engraved with a collar of leaves and a repeating quatrefoil motif, engraved and gilded mark Daum Nancy entwined with a single gilt flower.
