DESIGNED AND DECORATED BY RAOUL DUFY, POTTED BY JOSEF LLORENS ARTIGAS, CIRCA 1930

Bell-shaped on short flared foot, decorated with a mottled blue/white glaze streaked with rust red towards the base and incised with a lower frieze of shells with naked bathers above, the underside with underglazed blue artist's signature, indistinct date within brown glazed rectangle, potter's monogram in pink JLA, affixed paper label numbered 31, sold with the original purchase invoice from Galerie Le Centaure dated 21 March 1931
