The bowed bowl cast at the rim with three cicadas, their wings forming the cigar rest, their legs extending round the rim and arching onto the body, naturalistically detailed, underside engraved A. A. Hébrard 8 rue Royale Paris, the body with designer's facsimile signature, French poinçons and maker's mark.
