AN EXTREMELY RARE 40-BORE CAUCASIAN D.B. MIQUELET-LOCK GUN

With rebrowned twist barrels retained by two nielloed silver bands and each decorated with engraved and gilt scrollwork and transverse lines at the muzzle and breech and with brass bead fore-sight and standing back-sight pierced with a single aperture, the rib engraved and gilt with running foliage throughout its length, iron tang damascened with silver mauresques and set within shaped nielloed silver panels with beaded border, gold-damascened locks of characteristic form, figured Circassian walnut full stock with fluted fore-end and decorated with applied shaped nielloed silver panels (one replaced), silver barrel-bolt escutcheons en suite, gold-damascened button triggers, iron trigger-plate en suite with the barrel tang, and original ramrod with iron and brass tip
