Converted from flintlock, with rebrowned twist barrels retaining traces of signature on the rib, patent breeches, platinum plugs, engraved tang decorated with a cock pheasant and scrollwork, signed engraved flat bevelled locks each with stepped tail and formerly fitted with gravitating stops, now removed, figured walnut half-stock (chipped and cracked), chequered grip, engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon and barrel-bolt escutcheons, and later horn-tipped ramrod, London proof marks
