Almost forming a pair, with twist sighted barrels each engraved 'Charing Cross. London' on the top flat and engraved with a band of chevron ornament at the breech, engraved tangs each incorporating a back-sight, signed case-hardened bevelled locks each with safety-catch, roller, engraved cock and stepped tail, figured walnut full stocks, flattened butts each cut with coarse chequering with a cross at the centre of each diamond, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guards with acorn finial, horn-tipped ramrods, one with worm, and traces of original finish (each pistol with some light pitting), London proof marks
