With two-stage barrels each signed on the octagonal breech and retained by double transverse barrel-bolts, retaining some original browning beneath and struck with barrelsmith's mark, 'IB' crowned beneath each breech, silver fore-sight, grooved engraved tang, signed border engraved bevelled locks with safety-catches (one incomplete, one cock replaced) and engraved with foliage, figured walnut full stock carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with acorn finial and spurred pommel with cast and chased silver trophy of arms cap, silver escutcheon engraved with owner's crest, and horn-tipped wooden ramrod, probably original, Tower private proof marks
