Lot Essay
Feodor Ivanovich Krasovskii (1820-1863) was born into a family of state-owned peasants. His training as a porcelain painter was done under the guidance of Lippold. At the Imperial Porcelain Factory he specialised in painting fruit and flower subjects, becoming in 1850 a Master Painter and in 1861 he won the distinction of 'Free Artist' from the Imperial Academy.
