The blade iorimune, honzukuri, torii-zori with plum blossoms' horimono and a ken on the reverse, forging pattern itame and tempering edge suguba of nioi, suguba-boshi, tang o-suriage with two holes, Mino, 54.8cm.; in a gold and silver nashiji scabbard abundantly decorated with butterflies among grapevines in gold hiramakie, nashiji and kirikane, silvered metal kojiri, kurikata, koiguchi, uragawara, kozuka, kogai and fuchi-kashira en suite all carved in low relief with flowering peony, a mokkogata convex tsuba similarly decorated with kiku, a pair of shakudo menuki in the form Ishiguro style pheasant, details in gold, the hilt with fine quality same bound with baleen
