INDENTColour Sergeant John Crozier, born in Drunmore, County Tyrone; joined the 91st. Regiment, aged 18, 1846; Corporal, 1848 but reduced to the ranks later that year; transferred to the Reserve Battalion, 1849; appointed Acting Paymaster's Clerk, with the rank of Sergeant, 1852; although tried by Court-Martial on four occasions, Crozier was appointed Colour Sergeant, 1864, and retired after 22 years service, 1868.
