18TH CENTURY
One of green velvet, the other of crimson, both decorated with raised gilt thread work, the green purse bearing arms of the Dauphin of France accolé with those of Poland quatered with those of Lithuania and Saxony, on an escutcheon designed for Louis (1729-1765), son of Louis XV, and his wife Josepha (1731-1767), daughter of Augustus III, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, whom the Dauphin married in 1747, the crimson purse bearing the arms of Voyer de Pauliny, both with drawstring and tassels and lined in cream kid (2)
