Please note this work is listed in the Lotos Club archives as being executed by the artist Francis Miller. Miller joined the Lotos Club in 1878 and was a life member. The Lotos Club on 25 March 1947 held a sale of surplus paintings from its collection from which the present owner's mother acquired the work.
