Rectangular with cut corners, the cover set with an enamel plaque painted with a child and two ladies, one holding a flying finch on a ribbon, in a wooded landscape, within a chased acanthus frame in bright-cut border of stylised foliage on a matted ground, with outer white enamel band, the base and sides with panels of blue guilloché enamel, the base with similar border to the cover, the sides with white enamel borders and engraved with flowers on matted grounds at the angles, unrecorded marks in the cover and base
