A GEORGE II SILVER BASKET
MAKER'S MARK OF JOHN JACOB, LONDON, 1736

Shaped-oval and on pierced rim foot, the sides pierced and chased with shells, scrolls, scalework and latticework and with dolphin and mask fixed handle, the base chased with a band of diaperwork, shells, scrolls and fruits, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms within a Rococo cartouche, marked under base and on handle, with scratch weight 62=6
