Trained in Milan and Rome, Ademollo was called to Florence at the age of twenty-five to execute decorations in the Teatro della Pergola, now lost. He remained in Florence for the rest of his life and became one of the leading neoclassical painters in Tuscany, executing frescoes in the Palazzi Pitti, Pucci and Capponi in Florence as well as in other Tuscan cities.
