This table in the French Charles X 'Boulle' style has floral marquetry with butterflies which is stylistically similar to that on a group of tables supplied by Edward Holmes Baldock, the most notable being one supplied to the 5th Duke of Buccleuch and subsequently sold by the 8th Duke in these Rooms, 1 April 1971, lot 34 and now at Lotherton Hall (see: C.
