The strong nose and idiosyncratic treatment of the drapery of the present figure are very similar to a polychrome wood figure of a male saint in the Liebighaus, Frankfurt, there described as Upper Rhine, perhaps Strassbourg, 1480/90, by a follower of the Master of the Nördlingen Altar, who has yet to be idenitified (cf. Maek-Gérard, op.cit.)
