One of two known copies of William Berry's rare reissue of William Place's large map of England and Wales published in 1668, engraved by Wenceslaus Hollar in 1667 , showing the various post routes around the country.The map was discussed in full in Map Collector Issue 21, December 1982, but is also recorded in Gustav Parthey's work on Hollar,published in 1853, no.650, and in Pennington A Descriptive catalogue of the etched work of Wenceslaus Hollar no.650, who dates the map as between 1672 and 1676, the period of Berry's residence at this address.Shirley notes that Berry placed an advertisement for an England and Wales map in the London Gazette in 1673.The British Museum Print room hold a copy of this issue.
